The client is a notable educational technology company that strives for quality education and making it accessible for children across the globe. While keeping this as a primary objective, they also want to make the process a seamless one for the facilitators without any roadblock. They were looking for an all-in-one solution that would make the task of organizing and managing easier.
Although they used Slack workspace, they wanted to migrate to Teams but were unsure about the timeline of the migration process.
The Slack workspace did not meet all their requirements and hence looked out for an all-in-one solution.
The client had no inventory maintained as such for the users or the resources and this created a disturbing experience for the users.
The users used various applications for getting their tasks done for creating educational slide decks, pdfs, Word docs and emails.
They did not have a common app for communicating with each other for conferences and meetings which created frequent confusion.
They also expected some surety that their workflows wouldn’t be interrupted and they’d not lose data at any cost.
HOW AVASOFT HELPED?
We assessed their Slack workspace and developed a migration plan.
We went on multiple calls with the team to demonstrate how they can use Teams effectively without any additional applications.
Our team exported the messages from Slack, worked on the migration process and deployed a similar workspace in Microsoft Teams.
There was a seamless transition from Slack to Teams for the client.
As the client wanted no interruption in the workflows, we used Migration Wizard to assure them of it.
Since the migration was done with enhanced cross signed-device verification, it protected the confidential files and messages from imposters.
The private messages, including all users, public channels, and files were migrated from Slack to Teams without any data loss. This really helped the client to process their work without any disruptions.
The user adoption increased due to multiple trainings given to the organization’s employees.
They had a common SharePoint and OneDrive for maintaining their repository while storing their resources.
Each person had an automated sign-up with an email address and an auto-generated password. This delighted the users as they did not have to go through the entire process all over again.
The organization did not lose the work continuity and it was a huge benefit for them.
